Freeze up when someone asks what you do?

Have a website that says one thing, a bio that says another, and a bit of hemming and hawing instead of an elevator pitch?

STORY NECTAR 🌼🍯

sweet!

Story Nectar gets your story out of your head and into words, so you’ll have an answer you’re proud of (and a website and bio to match).

IS THIS YOU?

If that question makes you want to hide behind the snack table, you’re in good company. You know your business inside and out, but explaining it out loud or sitting down to draft it up is a whole different skill (and nobody hands you a script when you start a business).

“So… what do you do?

Story Nectar is for you if:

  • Your website, your Instagram bio and your school-pickup explanation all say slightly different things

  • You tried to get AI to write it for you, and it came back sounding like every other business on the internet

  • You’d rather do almost anything than talk about yourself

  • You know you have a good story, you just can’t find the thread

That’s exactly how Story Nectar works. You bring me the raw goods, I turn it into something sweet with words you can use across channels and platforms.

Bees bring nectar home and turn it into honey.

HOW IT WORKS

  1. Book your spot. Pick a time and pay upfront. A short questionnaire lands in your inbox, due three business days before we talk. Rambly answers and voice notes are welcome!

  2. Our story call (60 minutes). I’ll interview you the way an editor would, digging into how you got here, who you serve and what makes you different. I’ll also listen for the angles a reporter, a podcast host, and most importantly, your customer, would bite on.

  3. Your Story Comb arrives. Within five business days you’ll get a designed PDF plus an editable Google Doc.

  4. One round of tweaks. Send me your edits by email within 14 days and I’ll polish it up.

WHAT’S INSIDE

Your StoryComb

There are 9 cells in your story honeycomb.

  1. Your one-liner

  2. Elevator pitches (a 30-second and a 60-second version)

  3. Your origin story, with the good bumpy bits left in

  4. Who you help, the problem you solve and what you promise

  5. Three message pillars to build your content around

  6. Two or three story angles for media, podcasts and guest posts

  7. Bios (a short one for Instagram and a longer third-person one)

  8. Words to use and words to skip

  9. Where to start, with three places to use it this week

Honey is sticky. Your story should be too.

Most founders sand the hard parts right off their story. “I loved design, so I started a business!” is sweet, but if your About page reads like nothing ever went wrong, nobody has a reason to root for you.

On our call I’ll go looking for the sticky parts of your story: the roadblocks, the risks and the moment you almost didn’t go for it. The sticky part of the story is the part that sticks. Editors, readers and future clients all remember that part, so it deserves a spot in your story.

THE MESSY MIDDLE

I’ve spent nearly 15 years helping brands tell their stories…

WHY ME?

…including more than a decade in the design industry and a stint as Senior Director of Digital Content at a New York agency. I know what makes editors, clients and customers lean in, and I know how to find that in your story.

I’m also a mom building my business around the school day, so I get what it’s like to have a great business and zero time to figure out how to talk about it.

That includes the questionnaire, the 60-minute story call, your written Story Comb and one round of tweaks.

Bonus: if you want more help afterward, every dollar you paid goes toward a bigger project (web design + copy, PR, content strategy or my upcoming PR cohort) when you book within 30 days of getting your Story Comb.
